Cryptocurrency exchange OKX reported a 9.66 percent increase in user Bitcoin balances to 156,609 BTC in its 49th monthly proof-of-reserves audit released on 3 November 2026. The snapshot, taken on 1 November, showed customer Bitcoin deposits grew by 13,800 BTC from the previous month.
According to data reported by Wu Blockchain, user Ethereum holdings on the exchange climbed 2.95 percent to 1.92 million ETH, an increase of 54,879 ETH since 3 October. In contrast, user Tether balances fell 9 percent to 7.96 billion USDT, representing a drop of approximately 787 million USDT. Holdings of OKX's native token, OKB, declined 0.08 percent to 19.68 million tokens.
OKX conducts regular reserve reports to demonstrate that client crypto deposits are fully backed on its platform. The shift away from stablecoins mirrors recent trends across major trading platforms, with YourKhabri reporting on 2 November that Binance similarly recorded a 7.95 percent drop in USDT reserves alongside a 0.52 percent increase in Bitcoin holdings.
The combination of lower stablecoin balances and rising Bitcoin and Ethereum deposits suggests traders on the exchange deployed liquid funds into major tokens during October. Market participants will watch subsequent reserve disclosures across major trading venues to evaluate whether client capital continues to flow out of stablecoins and into unpegged crypto assets.
