Librería de Satoshi rebranded as ISMOS and launched a global developer platform on 4 November 2026, aiming to train one million Bitcoin developers. The platform went live with a new website.
ISMOS offers rigorous study programmes, mentorship and fellowships in Spanish, Portuguese and English, with plans to add more languages. Courses cover Bitcoin protocol, cryptography, cybersecurity, mathematics, AI, Nostr and open-source software. Mentors are experienced Bitcoin engineers who review code and guide projects. The curriculum is open-source and hosted on GitHub at github.com/ismos-xyz, allowing developers to explore tools and contribute code. Learners can access live sessions, recorded episodes and exclusive content through the portal.
Since its founding in 2021, the organisation, then known as Librería de Satoshi, has reached more than 3,665 participants across over 40 countries. It has financially supported 30 open-source developers working on Bitcoin-related projects. Local hubs will host workshops in regional languages and collaborate with university computer-science departments. The rebrand reflects a shift from a Spanish-only school to a worldwide movement that partners with universities, bootcamps and programming communities.
“Talent is universal; opportunity is not,” said Dulce Villarreal, CEO and founder of ISMOS, in the launch announcement. She added that the new brand will help the next great developer emerge from any region, from Argentina to Nigeria or El Salvador.
The platform is primarily funded by Btrust and the Human Rights Foundation. Earlier grants from OpenSats and the Gemini Opportunity Fund also contributed to its growth. ISMOS also intends to launch a scholarship programme for under-represented groups in 2027. The organisation plans to expand its local hubs and provide fellowships such as B4OS and developer residencies.
YourKhabri’s market data shows Bitcoin trading at $80,413, up 3.5% in the past 24 hours. The price rise often drives demand for skilled developers, making ISMOS’s training goal timely. The programme is free to join, and no regulatory changes are expected for participants in India, the US, the UK, the EU, the UAE, Singapore or Nigeria. Traders and investors may watch the initiative as a source of new talent for the Bitcoin ecosystem.
